Lagonda Making A Return

Aston Martin is apparently relaunching the 114-year-old Lagonda brand as it's own distinct marque separate from the main branch. Their first step back into the wold was put on display at Geneva and the Lagonda Vision Concept's design is polarizing. The front is the epitome of luxury and fine craftsmanship, then you have the excessively pointed rear.

I really like the looks of the front fascia, but the rear needs to be improved imo. Since this is the first concept its bound to go through some serious revisions anyways. It was a smart move to revive this brand as an electric and rumours suggest it'll have a range of 400 miles. Don't know how many will be interested in a Ł300,000 electric limo, but we'll wait to see what sort of specs it has.

Hopefully this time it has a much farther reach in terms of sales because the last one was so expensive that it almost priced itself out of the market and not only that but wasn't worth the million dollar price tag. Easier to consider a rolls royce ghost or bentley mulsanne for 1/2 the price.

Yeah the price point is going to be a huge factor in whether or not this return from Lagonda is successful. And imo, its styling just doesn't live up to whats offered by its competitors. Hopefully by the time we see a production version, both its cost and styling have seen some improvements.

What's a good MSRP for something like the Lagonda Vision in electric form? Of course there's the upcoming Porsche Mission E that's expected to start a bit under $100,000 though they're no Aston Martin. Anything between $100,000 is fine with me so long as the final production model looks similar to the concept.

The best price point for that will be around the $500,000 range that way they can have a hybrid version priced lower to sell as a volume product. If they don't plan on a lower trim then they should at least expand on the Rapide or some high volume selling 4-door. I just don't think this time around they can realistically ask for $1,000,000
