Aston Martin Valkyrie

For those who don't know AM currently has a new hypercar under development. Its currently in the final stages of simulation and the physical car could be testing in as little as two months. It will be powered by a 6.5l V12 that's expected to deliver around 1,130bhp. You can see just how much DNA this model shares with Formula 1 models and will rival newer hypercars such as the McLaren Senna and Mercedes AMG One.

What an incredible looking concept. With that kind of power output it'll be interesting to see how it stands up to rivals like the Veryron Super Sport or Koenigsegg CCXR. Unfortunately none of these are going to hold a candle to Rimac's Concept One, at least off the line.

1,200hp of electric propulsion is definitely going to be a tough configuration to beat. I believe the claimed 0-60 time of that Rimac is something like 2.5 seconds lol. You're still taking a bit of a gamble spending $1,000,000 plus on a relatively new brand imo.

Ya it'll be tough for any competitor to match the 0-60 performance times of a high output EV. There are however many purists in this segment who would still much prefer the driving characteristics and sound of a big V12.

There are already reports that brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini are already developing electric powertrains for future models (2022 and beyond). If premium brands like this are considering moving away from established platforms, its proves that the days of ICE's are numbered.

Lambo has to be the most interesting of all since they have shown that sharing with Audi is very likely, already the Q8 shows this and in an affordable package.

The upcoming Audi RS Q8 is looking to be somewhat of a poor mans Lamborghini Urus. Don't think we've seen it outside of some Nurburgring track tests though. The fact that we are now getting hyper performance out of road going SUV's shows just how much the market has shifted.

Q8 shares a platform with the Lambo so unlike other brands that will steal its design, Audi has an excuse here and does it quite well IMO.

They can throw as much power as they want into performance SUV's, but they still aren't going to be able to compete on the track. The Urus has already been criticized for having a 6,800 redline.

Sales wise it will be a success and ultimate a success overall.
Most customers don't care for its actual performance but just to know it can perform well enough with the badge of their liking.
