With certain badges like Aston Martin, there's a certain expectation for their products including where they are produced and the origin of components. Some will be wary of the new Rapid E if they do decide to outsource battery production. Of course there are arguments for partnerships and Aston Martin is now looking for a partner to help them meet the capital requirements need for the development of autonomous driving. We'll just have to wait and see how these new cooperative efforts affect their products in the future.
